New/Next has invited the year-round Baltimore screening series New Works to curate this retrospective showcase of exciting Baltimore-made short films and videos New Works has presented over their 7-year history.
New Works is a screening series dedicated entirely to Film and Video artists based in Baltimore, MD. Typically, there are two central stipulations for artists invited to participate: you must be based in Baltimore, and you must attend the screening. New Works’ mission is to foster community among local image makers and promote, support, and grow the local scene. The series was founded by Jimmy Joe Roche in 2016.
The titles and filmmakers included in this retrospective will be announced here soon. This screening has been curated by Jimmy Joe Roche, Matthew Sullivan, and Lydia Milano.
