The Archeology of Forgetting
Director(s): Stephanie E. Creaghan
Film description: L’archéologie de l’oubli/The Archeology of Forgetting is a video trilogy on grief and loss — romantic, amical, and familial — and the ways that these experiences occupy space and shift through time and environments in non-linear and protean ways. It is largely inspired by French philosopher Maurice Blanchot’s investigations of literature and silence, and is an homage to his project. L’archéologie de l’oubli, the final eponymous work, is a meditation on romantic severance.
